Cute Summer Dresses
If you read my recent blog post, you know that we recently left Antigua and are now hanging out with my family in York, Pennsylvania for the month of August. When I was ten, our family moved to York and I absolutely LOVED growing up in this small town. York is right outside of Lancaster, so growing up our family went to Amish markets, Sight and Sound theatre, and the Susquehanna River frequently. When I left to travel overseas and attend university, a part of me was always missing. The beauty of this little town will always be a part of me! Don't get me wrong, small town life isn't for me (I prefer a city on the beach personally), but every now and then it's nice to be back to the familiar. I absolutely love that we are able to take life slow here in York for the next couple of weeks before we start our next journey in Florida.
I took Dev to the Susquehanna River this past week so we could do a photoshoot of my favorite summer dresses from Filly Flair. It was so fun to be back at this spot, because two years ago we had our wedding reception here! For those of you who don't know, Dev and I got married at an overlook across the river on a Sunday morning in June, and then we had brunch reception with our close family & best friends after. It was so fun to take photos of another white dress in the same location! Although this one doesn't cost a thousand dollars, it's definitely my second favorite white dress ever! In the photo above I'm wearing the Fresh Air Maxi Dress in White. I am 5'6 and this maxi dress was a perfect length with a pair of wedges. It is also true to size -- I wore a small and it fit perfectally!
My second dress from Filly Flair you could call a little more fun! The name is perfect for the colorful design, it's the Neon Dreams Dress! My favorite part about this dress isn't the bright colors though, it's the open leg slit! I also love this dress because it would be great for maternity! Listen up mama's. ;) Whenever I happen to be pregnant next, I'm definitely going to wear this dress often during the stage of pregnancy right when the bump shows! Isn't it funny that as mothers we look at dresses for different reasons now? Love it! I ordered this dress in small. It runs a little large, so size down if you're in between sizes! Or if you are pregnant we'll just say its true to size!
Next up from Filly Flair is the All in White Lace Dress. Guys, this photo doesn't do it justice -- it's gorgeous and seriously perfect for all occasions. Going on a picnic? Adorable. Cocktail hour? Throw on a pair of heels and slayyy. I have already worn this dress too many times to admit AND I'm planning on wearing it to a blogger brunch on Sunday (no shame because it's gorgeous).
I absolutely LOVED these dresses from Filly Flair and will definitely be putting in an order for fall outfits soon! What are you absolutely loving this season?
