29 Week Pregnancy Update

I’m excited to share another bumpdate with you! Baby is the size of a cauliflower, and about three pounds! I have been in my third trimester for a few weeks now, and baby girl is starting to really make her presence known. I can’t believe we only have 11 more weeks until we meet her! Over the last month, we shifted the rooms in our home around to make space for her nursery. We also got her crib set up and started deciding what other nursery furniture we will be purchasing for her space. This morning we picked out a rocker recliner that is so cozy, and we are picking out paint colors later this evening for an accent wall. I am designing her room to be modern boho with a peach accent wall. I’m excited to continue her nursery and make her space cozy!

HOW BABY GIRL IS DOING

Baby girl is kicking and hiccuping all day (and all night) long! I haven’t had an appointment with my midwife since 22 weeks, due to my appointments being spaced out with COVID, but I’m excited that both Ben and I will be able to go in-office in just a few weeks for my next appointment. Ben hasn’t been to any of my appointments or heard her heartbeat yet, so I’m excited that he’ll finally get to come with me next time!

HOW I’M DOING

Being pregnant this time around with a four year old is downright exhausting, but overall I’ve been getting by just fine! I no longer need a nap (or second cup of coffee) to get through the day, and I’ve actually been sleeping pretty well at night. I purchased a pregnancy pillow (shared in this post) during my second trimester that has made all the difference! My appetite is at an all-time high, I feel like I’m constantly needing to eat throughout the day and I’m trying to get in as many fruits and vegetables as I can. However, baby girl seems to only crave ice cream and banana bread! I’ve also started getting back to this gym this month, which has made me feel a lot more motivated throughout the day.

HOW BIG BROTHER IS DOING

Aimery is honestly starting to lose his patience and doubts if baby sister is ever going to arrive - I think we told him a bit too early! 😂 He has gotten a lot more independent over the last few months, as I am no longer able to pick him up, spin him around, and race to the park. He’s had to learn how to get himself ready in the mornings, get his own snacks, and allow Ben to help more for things like putting him to bed and doing more of the active activities with him. This season of life has been really great for all of us, as we are preparing for what the next year is going to look like when baby comes!
