3 Tips for a Healthy Fall

This fall, I have made the decision to be committed to my health. Since we are going into the colder months, I want to make sure my body is in the best shape to endure this season! There's a couple simple tips I follow to stay on track and maintain a healthy immune system! Keep reading for my three tips for a healthy fall!
DRINK LOTS OF WATER
This is a simple one, but was harder to incorporate into my routine than I anticipated. I love drinking water, but being busy throughout the day makes it difficult to remember to drink the water I need! Did you know that you should be drinking half your weight in ounces each day? For example, if you’re 150 pounds, you should be drinking at least 75 ounces! I know that sometimes water can be difficult to drink on it’s own, so sometimes I’ll mix it up by adding some fruit slices or making some tea!
STAY ACTIVE
Fall is one of my favorite seasons, especially for outdoor exercising! The weather is perfect, because it’s not too warm, but also not cold enough yet to the point where it’s unbearable to be outdoors. On the weekends, we like to take family hikes on the local trails. One of the best things about living in PA is the scenery! During the week we like to take our puppy on walks in the evenings. You can get really creative and find activities that are fun so that it takes the chore out of exercise!
