5 Books to Bring Christmas to Your Summer

It’s no surprise that Christmas is my favorite time of the year, and the countdown is starting with only 20 more weeks until Christmas! Baking cookies, watching movies with Aimery, matching pajamas, and spending time with family are all my favorite things to do around Christmas time. Who wouldn’t look forward to that all year? Especially with not having much to look forward to these days, I’ve had Christmas on my mind lately!

This weekend, Aimery and I are pretending it’s Christmas by bringing the cozy elements of Christmas that we love into the summer. We’ll be doing our favorite things - making hot chocolate and s’mores together while cuddling on the couch with a good book! I’ve been reading lots of Christmas books lately to bring some love, family, and Christmas into my everyday life this summer.  Keep reading for my favorites!

The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan

Looking for a book about bringing family together? This book is about Suzanne McBride and her dream for a perfect, cozy Christmas in the snowy Highlands of Scotland. She shares about how Christmas will look differently for her family of three adopted daughters this year, and the secret she’s hiding. If you are feeling the need for family and sisters, then this book has it all!

A Virgin River Christmas by Robyn Carr

A Virgin River Christmas has put me in the mood for the holidays! This story is about how Marcie Sullivan said a final goodbye to her husband, Bobby, last Christmas. This Christmas, she’s come to Virgin River to find Ian Buchanan, Bobby’s fellow marine who saved his life and gave her three more years to love him. Together, they work through their painful past and find love! It’s a wonderful story about love and redemption.

Marry Me at Christmas by Susan Mallery

Weddings, small town charm, and love...this book has everything! In this story, you’ll read about a bridal boutique owner, Madeline Krug, who is organizing a Christmas wedding. She ends up falling for  the gorgeous brother of the bride, making this story a must-read!

Season of Wonder by RaeAnne Thayne

This book is about being given second chances at love, something we all deserve! It’s centered around Dani Capelli, a girl who always felt like she never truly belonged anywhere. After going through a divorce, she decided to enroll in vet school which led her to relocate her family to a small town and start working for Haven Point veterinarian office. As the holidays draw near, she meets Ruben, who decides to show this big-city woman just how magical Christmas in Haven Point can be, including finding love.

Christmas in Icicle Falls by Sheila Roberts

Christmas is all about appreciating the things that we have, and this book really shares how to find the beauty in everyday life! This book is about Muriel Sterling ordering a tree online, and when it arrives it is downright ugly. Instead of giving up on the tree, she decides to make a project out of it, and she sees a lesson to be learned - everything and everyone has potential. She inspires others in her community to not give up on each other, and it turns out to be the happiest holiday yet.
