How to Freshen up your Outdoor Space this Fall

This post is sponsored by Enbrighten. Thank you for supporting the brands who support this blog.

Fall gets me so excited because it means pumpkin patches, leaves changing colors, chilly bonfires, and spending time with the people I love most. Our family loves spending time outside on our deck together, so I’ve been trying to find ways to spice up the space for the new season. Keep reading for four tips on how freshening up your outdoor areas can totally transform the look of your space for the fall season!

Smart Plugs

We recently elevated our home with Enbrighten Wi-Fi Smart Plugs! We love using these plugs both inside and outside our home to make our family’s life easier with automatic scheduling, setting different routines, and adding extra security from voice control with our Google Home. We use them indoors for our lamps, fans, coffee maker, and even baby girl’s humidifier in her nursery. I love the flexibility of using the Enbrighten app to schedule our lighting for different schedules for weekdays and weekends! We can even tell Google to turn off lamps when leaving a room.

We also use them outside for plug-in string lights, landscape lights, and fall decor. During the fall, we love stringing our Enbrighten Vintage Cafe Lights to bring more of a cozy feel to our deck! We can automatically have our outdoor patio lights turn on at sunset and turn off at midnight so we are being energy efficient. Enbrighten is known for premium LED lights and other smart home products, and we love that they donate 50% of net proceeds to charity. BRING ON THE PUMPKINS

Our family had a little surprise this year when we discovered a pumpkin plant growing in our front garden! We truly don’t know where this plant came from, but Aimery checks on the plant every day and is so excited to have his own little pumpkin patch for the fall time. We are planning to add our homegrown pumpkins to our outdoor space (if they’re ready in time), but have also picked our own earlier this week. Adding pumpkins help to bring all those fall vibes to your outdoor spaces. If you’re worried about using real pumpkins, faux pumpkins are a great alternative that you can reuse!

COZY UP WITH BLANKETS

Throw blankets are a must. The more blankets I have, the happier I am. We always make sure to have a few blankets on hand, but we also have a cute storage bin with all the extras. Our family loves cozying up with the fluffiest blankets and we all agree that there’s never too many. I love changing up the blankets we use as the seasons' change, so this year we found some great warm-toned blankets to add a cute fall touch.

ADD MUMS FOR COLOR

Flowers are great to use for decorating any space, but mums have got to be my favorite for the fall time. Aimery and I love going to our local market every year to buy our patio mums because it’s truly the start of our fall adventures.

While these are my suggestions for freshening up your indoor and outdoor spaces for fall, be creative and have fun with your decorating! I love rearranging furniture, adding decorative pieces, and special touches to my home as the seasons change. Make your outdoor space more than just plants and a welcome mat, after all, It’s about those personal touches you add to your space that make it feel like home.
