Leftover Thanksgiving Turkey and Stuffing Waffles

I’m not going to lie, I’ve been counting down the days until Thanksgiving for a while now because this year I have SO much to be thankful for. A lot of change has come this year and with that comes a lot of growth and reflection. My friends, family, husband, my beautiful babies, our health and security have been top on my list of reasons to be thankful. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year, but this one is extra special because it’s our first holiday with our little love, Adlavie. She has already brought so much love into our lives and mom, dad, and Aims couldn’t be more thankful for her.

One of my favorite parts of Thanksgiving is when everyone around the table says what they’re thankful for, while everyone is enjoying all of the delicious Thanksgiving treats. We are all huge turkey fans and always look forward to the morning after Thanksgiving because that means we get to enjoy our leftover turkey and waffles breakfast! We decided to try out this recipe this year after our Friendsgiving, and it was such a fun family cooking experience. This recipe is super simple and is made with Better Than Bouillon Turkey Base! 

Better Than Bouillon carries such a wide variety of bases that can be used to take your meals to the next level this holiday season. If you’re not familiar with Better Than Bouillon, it’s basically a paste concentrate that is similar to a bouillon broth, but in my opinion, better! I find that even using just the tiniest amount of this base adds such an amazing flavor to whatever I’m cooking. Better Than Bouillon is helping elevate our holiday dishes this season and we are so here for it! Better Than Bouillon is super convenient and adds so much depth and flavor to our meals. We absolutely love their turkey base and use their other products all the time! TURKEY AND STUFFING WAFFLES

What you’ll need…

  • ½ cups prepared waffle mix

  • 3 Tbsp Better Than Bouillon Turkey Base

  • 1 cup leftover shredded roasted turkey

  • ½ cup crumbled leftover stuffing

  • ½ cup shredded parmesan cheese

  • 2 Tbsp butter

  • 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour

 

INSTRUCTIONS

  1. Make waffle mix according to instructions on the package and then add in 1 Tbsp of Better Than Bouillon Turkey Base. Fold turkey, stuffing, and cheese into the waffle mix.

  2. Preheat waffle iron and put oil on the top and bottom of the iron to avoid waffles from sticking. Pour in enough mix to fill the waffle iron and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until waffles are golden brown. Repeat the above process with the rest of the waffle batter.

  3. To make the gravy, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Sprinkle in flour and stir regularly for 2 minutes. Then, whisk in 2 cups of water and bring that to a boil. Mix in the rest of the Better Than Bouillon Turkey Base and reduce heat to medium low. Let simmer for about 5 minutes.
