Not only is the holiday season a time of rejoicing, but it’s also a time of reflection! We have a lot to celebrate as we look back at the last year together. A lot has changed this year, we moved into our new home, Ben and I got married, and we have met many of our goals as a family. Seeing as this is our first Christmas together as a married couple and family, sending out 2019 Christmas cards is very important to us. With relatives and friends that live out of town, we love being able to send them momentos of our love during the holiday season even though we can’t physically be together. Whether it’s your first holiday season with your spouse, or you send cards out every year, here’s some tips to make sure your Christmas Cards are the best they can be!

HIGH QUALITY IMAGES

With today’s technology, you don’t have to have a fancy camera to take great pictures! I honestly believe that my new iPhone takes better photos than my DSLR most days 😂 Setting up a tripod and posing your family, can do the trick & is a low cost and easy way to get the shot! If you want to step it up a notch, I truly believe in the value of hiring a photographer. Especially if your holiday picture cards are intended to commemorate a milestone or special holiday!

COORDINATING OUTFITS

I will admit, I am that mom. I absolutely love the aesthetic of family photos with matching outfits. If this isn’t your style, then you can totally skip this step, but in my opinion coordinating looks really helps to bring the photo together. You don’t have to dress identically either, working with a fun and festive holiday palette can be the perfect touch to your holiday cards!

To go a step further, Basic Invite also offers their customers the ability to get a printed sample of their card before purchasing their final copies.  Sometimes it can be hard to get a clear idea of what a product will look like when you just see it on the computer, so this way you can make sure that your are exactly what you want!
