Aimery's Nursery

Thank you Hatch Baby for partnering with me. Thank you for supporting the brands who support this blog. As always, opinions are only my own.

I moved back into my parents home with Aimery nine months ago. I made an overnight decision to leave our home in Florida and fly up to PA. The decision was not easy to make because I had to give up my dream of living near Miami. But it was an easy decision at the same time, because this was the safest place for Aimery and I to be while filing for custody. It has been a very humbling experience moving back to a city that I always said I would NEVER come back too, along with living with my parents again. And then another humbling experience accepting the fact that getting back on my feet was going to take a lot longer than I thought, and I'm still here nine months later. But over the last few months, I have really started to appreciate living here, and decided that it would be fun to finally show off the space that Aimery has been living in over the last year!

Aimery is going to be two years old next month, and he is still in a crib. About three months ago he started to try to climb out of his crib, but I knew that he wasn't ready for a toddler bed. So my dad came up the idea of taking his mattress to the floor and built panel sides under the rails. So far it has worked really well and he hasn't climbed out. I plan to keep him in a crib for at least another year before transferring him out, so hopefully this continues to work for us!

Because we have moved around so much, I definitely live a minimalist lifestyle! There isn't a lot of decor in Aimery's room, but I have his favorite books and stuffed animals around his room so he's comfortable in his space. I think I might need to order another Goodnight Moon book on amazon soon - the cover is falling off from overuse! ❤️

Something that I have used for Aimery since he was an infant is the Hatch Baby Rest. This nightlight, sound machine, and time-to-rise alert is amazing, and I can even control it from my phone. With customizable color, brightness, sound, and volume options, I can set the vibe daily for Aimery.  Rest is SO easy to use because it can be programmed on my phone using the Hatch Baby Rest app and can also be tapped manually to adjust the settings.

When Aimery was a baby, Rest provided a soft light and white noise for middle of the night feeding sessions. I used to always pack the Rest when we traveled because it provided a nightlight and sound machine. The preset sound and color combinations are even recommended by sleep experts to create the best sleep environment for your children!

Now that Aimery is getting older, I have began setting programs on and off according to our sleep schedules. I've been able to get a few extra minutes of sleep in the morning, and being a single mom, you know I need every minute I can get! When Aimery gets a little older, I'll be able to start using the time-to-rise setting so he knows when it's time to get out of bed in the morning.

The Hatch Baby Rest is definitely my favorite part of Aimery's Nursery! What are your nursery must haves?
