With the last year being so focused on baby girl’s arrival and spending quality time with Aimery, Ben and I have lost sight of the importance of spending time with each other. Ben and I have made the decision to make date nights more of a priority as we transition to being a family of four. Our love language is definitely the same: quality time!

We’ve partnered with Ghirardelli Candy to bring the ultimate quality time date night to life. With Ghirardelli Dark Chocolate Flavored Melting Wafers and Ghirardelli Vanilla Flavored Melting Wafers there are endless holiday recipe possibilities, and we’ve decided to create a chocolate dessert date night spread. Ghirardelli Candy Making is the perfect family activity. Ben, AImery, and I love cooking together, especially when there’s chocolate involved. Ghirardelli helps give your homemade candies and dipped treats a smooth finish and glossy shine, with no need for tempering. I swear everything is so perfect and delicious every time we use Ghirardelli melting chocolates. While date night is meant for Ben and I to enjoy, we simply just love spending time with Aimery too. He’s the light of our life and if he wants to participate in a romantic chocolate date night with us, then he is more than welcome!!

These amazing Dark and White Melting Wafers are available at your local Sam’s Club both in-store and online at www.samsclub.com. For our family, shopping in bulk at Sam’s Club has been quite the game changer for stocking up on our favorite items. We have a stock area in our basement where we store extras of our most used products that we get from our monthly Sam’s Club visits. Whenever we walk through the candy aisle, Aimery always seems to ask for one thing: Ghirardelli chocolate. Since we love their chocolate so much, he knows we will get it (he thinks it’s because he asks us to, but Ben and I just love their chocolate so much that we can’t ever say no). Any excuse for a chocolate night… right?!

To make your own chocolate dessert board at home, you’ll need:

  • Ghirardelli Dark and Vanilla Melting Wafers

  • Cookies

  • Pretzels

  • Strawberries

  • Graham Crackers

  • Whipped cream

  • Any other sweet treats you want

We melted the chocolate to make our own at-home fondue night and I honestly couldn’t be more thrilled with how it all turned out. Fondue is such a fun family experience and it’s even better at home! When making this board, I simply just laid out all of the add ons surrounding the melted fondue chocolate in an aesthetically pleasing way to focus the attention on the fondue. We also decided to make a super yummy dip with the wafers and marshmallows on top to enjoy as well! It’s all about getting creative and finding inspiration. I always resort to Pinterest when creating these kinds of food boards because there are so many amazing ideas out there for how to lay out all of the ingredients nicely.
