Hot Honey Holiday Cocktail

Ben and I love creating new cocktails together, it’s something that I missed while pregnant! This holiday season, we have been working to create the perfect holiday cocktail, and I love the way this one turned out. If you like a unique cocktail with a kick of spice, this one is for you. Warning: this cocktail is not for the weak! Keep reading for our Hot Honey Holiday Cocktail recipe!

HOT HONEY COCKTAIL

For the Hot Honey Syrup:

  • 1/3 cup of Mike’s Hot Honey

  • 1/3 cup of water

  • 2 – 3 strips of orange rind

For the Cocktail:

  • 1 1/2 ounces tequila

  • 3 ounces of orange juice (about 1 large orange)

  • 1 ounce ofHot Honey Syrup, cooled

  • 4 ounces of cranberry juice

  • Ice

  • Fresh cranberries and rosemary for serving (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

To make the Hot Honey syrup:

  1. Begin by putting a small saucepan on medium heat and add honey, water, and orange rind.

  2. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 5 minutes, allowing time for honey to completely incorporate into the water.

  3. Set aside to cool.

To make the cocktail:

  1. In a large glass, add the tequila, orange juice, cranberry juice, and cooled Hot Honey syrup.

  2. Stir and pour over ice.

  3. Garnish with fresh cranberries and rosemary.
