Waste Free Lunch Ideas

Over the past year of eating lunch at home rather than grabbing a prepackaged meal showed us all just how much plastic and paper waste we can be saving! With Aimery going back to school, it’s time to start whipping up lunches for him to take along. Although this year, my goal is to create lunches that are good for my son and the earth! Lunch Bags
Before I get into how amazing these bags are for the little ones, I have to talk about how adorable they are! Aimery is obsessed with the shark print, but I can’t pick a favorite. Besides the cute patterns this bag is going to stand the test of time. It’s made of ultra-durable neoprene and has sturdy YKK zippers to hold up against drops and falls. They’re also insulated, have reinforced seams, and use easy-to-use zippers to make lunch time less stressful for the little ones. Plus, all mamas will be thrilled to know that they’re stain, tear, and weather resistant! Toss it in the wash if something spills, and you’re good as new.
Cloth Placemats
Another machine washable lunch essential is a placemat! Year after year, the mess will stay contained while also keeping any bacteria from the table off of the food. This lunch box placemat is perfectly sized at 15”x13” to fit at the lunch table, or on their little laps. Napkins

My parents always wrote small notes and left them in my lunchbox growing up, so I love continuing the tradition! A positive message or a simple '“I love you!” can put a smile on their face everyday. Aimery loves when I include some tiny drawings, so I like to get creative to make him giggle. I’ve even seen moms save their lunchbox notes and put them in the gift tin as a cute keepsake for when their kids grow up!
Decorative Stickers & Name Labels
To make sure my son’s items do not get lost or mixed up within the craziness of lunch time, we personalized them. Waterproof food and drink containers are the perfect items to personalize, and the kids love to do it themselves. I like to use the name labels to ensure all of our valuable items actually make it home after school. These labels are also great for books, pencils, pens and other personal products.
