7 Tips for Hosting a Stress-Free Friendsgiving

IMG_5581.JPG

One of my favorite things to do during the holidays is to have Friendsgiving for my closest girlfriends! I like to do this every year if I can, because it’s such a great way to get all of your favorite people together while also reminding yourself of how grateful you are for the people you’re surrounded by. Every year I find myself even more grateful than the last. This year has brought so many new changes and I am so thankful for the friends that have been there for our family all year long. Party planning is a lot of work and can be stressful at times, so I’ve come up with a list of ways to create this Friendsgiving with little to no stress! Check out these tips for hosting the ultimate friendsgiving this year!

Set Up a Drink Station

Having a serve-yourself drink station is one of the easiest ways to make your friendsgiving celebration a hit! I really love these beverage dispensers to put your holiday cocktails, water, and any other drink options inside! I love making a homemade sangria this time of year - yum!

Make Custom Placeholders

There are so many creative ideas for name placeholders online and they’re all so cute!! I personally always love making placeholders and assigning seating arrangements with them. You can make name signs online, print them out, and tape them to the stem of a pumpkin… BOOM, the perfect name tag for any table setting!

Use Disposable Plates & Silverware

Trust me, when it’s time to clean up from all the festivities, you’ll be so glad you chose disposable meal sets. Target sells some super trendy disposable plates and silverware sets that would make your friendsgiving cleanup so much easier. These are the ones I picked up!

Order with Meal Delivery Service

Did you know that Hello Fresh sends everything you need to prepare a turkey dinner right to your door? I had no idea they offered complete thanksgiving menus! They sent us everything we needed including the turkey and ingredients to make creamy mashed potatoes, smoked maple brussel sprouts, and apple ginger apple crisp - everything was so easy and delicious. Not having to meal plan or run to the grocery store was a huge plus! You can always use my code SUMMERSHORES20 for 20% off.

Make a Photoshoot Wall

If you know me, you know I love any opportunity to take photos. Especially in front of a holiday themed photo wall! These are really fun to make and you can be as creative as you want with it. I love getting balloon banners that spell out whatever you’re celebrating, so this year I’m definitely going to get a friendsgiving one! You can also add some Thanksgiving colored balloons and streamers for some more decor options too.

Crafts for the Kids

Crafts are a really fun way to get the kids creative! A fun craft idea for this year’s friendsgiving could be to decorate white pumpkins any way you want. Grab some crafty items from your local craft store, pick up some mini white pumpkins, and get decorating! We also picked up these Turkey headbands for the kids to color!

Make a Gratitude Board

Thanksgiving is that time of the year where we sit down and focus on the things we’re thankful for. While I definitely try to do this all the time, it’s important to especially take that time to think during Thanksgiving. I think a great way to share what you’re thankful for during friendsgiving would be to make a gratitude board that everyone writes on with one thing they’re grateful for.
