My Creative Oasis

Going into the New Year, I want to focus more on my wellness and having a healthier lifestyle. Not only physically, but in terms of my overall well-being and creating a healthy work life balance. I recently elevated my office space and yoga room, by painting it colors that compliment this season of my life to inspire creativity while working from home!

The Simply Blissful Color Collection celebrates JOMO – the joy of missing out – by creating a haven in the home through soothing, tranquil colors that create a space perfect for the luxurious homebody. The palette is made up of 10 curated colors, that we made a mini palette out of! Although, we chose to use Coral Reef (HGSW1074) & Mint to Be (HGSW2327) for our space, any of the colors could work together in any combination! It was super helpful being able to take the guesswork out of coordinating colors and that saved us a lot of time and frustration!

While working on our office makeover, I had the pleasure of attending an event to celebrate the 2020 Color Collection in Hilton Head, SC! It was held at The HGTV Dream Home 2020 which couldn’t have been a more perfect setting to showcase the collection. It was such an honor - both getting to meet so many creative people and testing out the color palette for myself. They had a variety of activities that promote the relaxation that the colors embody. Everything from manicures in all 10 colors from the palette, relaxing mini chair massages, and a group guided meditation session really brought the Simply Blissful Color Collection to life! We ended the night with a delicious sunset dinner, the perfect conclusion to a night which truly sparked my inspiration to incorporate these colors in my own home! I couldn’t wait to come home and get to work on transforming my office space to a creative oasis. 

Ben and I had so much fun going to Lowe’s and picking out the colors we felt matched the desired vibe of our space. When it was time to get to work, we taped everything down, put up plastic for protection and put on clothes we didn’t mind getting paint on. We decided to go with Coral Reef (HGSW1074) and Mint to Be (HGSW2327). 

I had the best time tackling this project with Ben and collectively creating a space for the both of us to enjoy. This project allowed us to organize and reinvent our office into a place where I can focus on creative work, mediation, and myself. Since we got married last year, we are really looking to slow down and relax as a couple in 2020 and our elevated loft is the perfect space to do so! Keep reading for the after photos!

WOW - Am I right?! I could not be happier with how this project turned out! Our mini palette encompasses everything I wanted for this space and more. I absolutely love how the Coral Reef color radiates warmth and positivity, which is much needed during a long day of work. Mint To Be was the perfect compliment, and is a daily reminder that relaxation is necessary as a busy mom and business owner. 

It’s been so amazing to see The Simply Blissful Color Collection come to life in my home and after adding furniture and little personalized details it all started to come together. We decorated our new office space with desk chairs that compliment the palette, as well as house plants, crystals, and a diffuser to promote mind and body wellness! 

After seeing this transformation, I was inspired to bring up my mats and make yoga part of my morning routine. I think it’s so important to start the day off right and now I have the perfect area to do so. I started a gratitude journal and set aside time to reflect and plan for the day before Aimery wakes up and the day really starts. 

Our loft has quickly become my oasis in our home, combining my passion for creativity and need for tranquility. I now look forward to having my team over for weekly meetings and getting to collaborate in such a welcoming environment. We all agree that the new colors encourage us to increase productivity, concentration, and creativity. With a lot of my days starting with early mornings and ending with late nights, it’s so nice to have a place where I can focus solely on my business and my well-being. These colors breath new light into our renovated loft and I can’t wait to see what comes out of this space!
