Taco Bout a Party!
This post is sponsored by General Mills, but all opinions are my own.
Who says you can only have tacos on Tuesdays? We love tacos, no matter what day of the week! When Ben and I started dating, our families both started having a weekly dinner night for us all to gather together and catch up. Once a month, Ben and I host our families for dinner! This week, we hosted a Taco Bout A Party! They say, “When you find true love hold it with both hands because tacos can be messy sometimes!” so to say my heart is full is an understatement. Keep reading for our favorite taco idea!
Our tacos are a little more unique than the typical taco. Instead of using ground beef as our meat, we make our tacos with ground turkey. This is our better-for-you solution as the turkey meat is really lean and a lot less greasy! Walmart had all the ingredients we needed, including our favorite Old El Paso Stand 'N Stuff Shells and Old El Paso Traditional Refried Beans! We even like implementing their online order pick-up feature that’s great when we have lots of cooking to do at home. It cuts our time in half ordering online, we are always so busy and this grocery shopping option is a life hack for us! We love to stock-up with Walmart so you should see all the Old El Paso shells we have for future Taco Tuesdays!
Our party was so much fun and everyone had a great time! We had balloons everywhere, Aimery loved them! Everyone loved the Old El Paso Stand 'N Stuff Shells and Old El Paso Traditional Refried Beans! We had a buffet style meal so everyone got to Stand n’ Stuff their tacos to their hearts’ desire. Against popular opinion, everyone but myself enjoyed the guac. I on the other hand don’t like guacamole, please don’t hate me! Even though everyone put guac on their tacos it was still so much fun to see how different each Taco creation was! Taco night was a huge hit and we will definitely be doing it again!
Taco Bout A Party was such a fun meal solution, especially when having our family over! Tacos and family are the best combination! What is your go-to meal when you’re having family and friends over? Tell me in the comments below, I’m always looking for more ideas.
